Notes

This bannerstone has unusual flattened surfaces on either side of the spine. It is considerably smaller than most bannerstones and may be a miniature. Its small size may have lead to it being considered a fake. All details of its shape and method of carving, however, appear consistent with an archaic origin of exceptional quality.
