Notes

This Curved Pick bannerstone is finely carved and highly polished with one tip broken with no patina along the surface of the break suggesting that the break might have occurred in the 19th c. when the stone was found. There is also a curved gash along the surface of one side similar to the gash on AMNH 13/105; both gashes may have been inadvertently caused by metal agricultural tools. Madison Co Va A. G. Grinnan is written on the stone.
