  • info AMNH 2/148

Triangular bannerstone; Georgia, blueschist, h. 5.2 w. 5.1 cm.

With AMNH 2/148, a triangular blueshcist bannerstone that was found in Richmond County, Georgia, several horizontal lines have been incised on the front and crisscrossed diagonal lines have been incised across its back. These markings appear to be Archaic in origin and may have been incised when the stone was carved or added later.
